Create an Ethnic-Specific Donor Diversification Strategy for the Bloodworks Northwest

Situation

In the Summer of 2017, the Bloodworks Northwest launched an ethnic-specific blood donation awareness campaign to increase the level of awareness of blood donation among specific ethnic groups which will eventually lead to an increase in the number of blood donation from various ethnic groups. We are appointed as one of the service providers to help Bloodworks in designing a targeted strategy to engage an ethnic community in the King County region.

Approaches

Over the past two years, our team has been working closely with the team at the Bloodworks Northwest and various community groups with more than 1,000 combined members across the King County region to spread awareness about blood donation. We deployed more than 50 multidisciplinary student consultants from University of Washington, Seattle University, and Seattle Pacific University to create various strategies to engage our target ethnic community. Our key solutions revolves around the following areas:

Process Improvement (Marketing and Outreach Strategy)
